Smoking Kills..1 Lung at a Time

And people familiar with human anatomy would be aware that humans have only TWO lungs..Question is: are smokers???

I was travelling in a red line bus the other day..closed windows & no A/C (trust me this is important) n  this old guy standing next was smoking away merrily as if owning the place, despite the ‘NO SMOKING’ sign put up (note people wisdom does NOT necessarily come with age). And if my pointed glares instigated him or something..the guy had the audacity to blow smoke right into my face ( thanks dude for snuffing out 1 year out of my life..owe u 1!!) . Purposely I started coughing louder than usual in extra dramatic tones that would’ve put any bollywood actor to shame ;) …but the guy gave 1 casual blank look & went back to puffing.
And that is what infuriated me the most..the casual disregard towards others lives..It is a given fact that people who do not smoke, still end up smoking 1 cigarette a day. So congratulations people YOU ALL are a passive smokers whether you want it or not!!!

I generally classify smokers into 3 categories -
1) The ill / non-informed
2) The ‘On-the-verge-Quitters’
3) The dufuses

I’m angry at govt.’s lack of pursuance towards enlightening the people about the risk they are exposed to while smoking. Oh sure gross pictures on cigarette boxes are going to do the trick. And blurring the cigarettes in movies which will soon come is, well, it’ll be quite laughable. Hellllooo as if we can’t figure out what the actor is holding. Please don’t consider us this dumb although we people do tend to reach new levels of stupidity while electing you guys but still that’s only momentary.

The people who are trying to quit have my sympathies. At least they are making an effort. But it’s the ‘DUFUS gang’ that makes me want to bang my their heads on the wall.

It’s not just their total disregard for their own health but the fact that they seem to think they are a part of ‘the cool group’. In WHICH universe?? Oh and don’t even give me the shit about how smoking makes ‘one’ calm & deal with problems. It just makes ‘other ones’ puke. What it really is..Is cowardice..Do you doubt yourselves & your ability to think straight & rational that you have to depend on toxic stuff to take the right decision? And for people who say that smoking is NICE (yup heard that also)..counter statement..how can ANYTHING that will eventually end up destroying you be NICE???

Indian economy thrives on the sale of such toxic substances…shut off sale of cigarettes & alcohol..trust me it’s going to have an impact on growth..a slight impact but an impact nevertheless..Some people say the govt. can capitalize on it by raising the taxes on these substances..If people can’t have them..they won’t abuse them…But there are serious loopholes to this theory…people who buy such stuff consider them necessity goods..raising the prices would hardly deter them..also it is important to realize that a lot of people who smoke fall into the lower income strata..denying them such substances could lead to rise in the level of criminal activity..the question then remains how to control the use of such substances amongst people..true proper education & making them aware would prove beneficial in the long run but that is clearly not enough as we can see…Any ideas???

Sinking in Quicksand.....

2010 started on a crap note - for 1 thing net connection went haywire, had a ultra major fight with bro, cable guy all of a sudden decided that ESPN and star Sports are too revered a channels to be seen by mortal people and puts a plug in them...and that was just Jan 1...you know how some people have an obsession for collecting stamps, or coins or shoes..well my mum is obsessed with dust... not collecting it obviously..in short she's a neat freak...so in our house birthdays, national holidays are passe' ..we have a cleaning day...its that day when mum wakes up and takes a tour of the house and with her X-ray vision eyes sees dust bunnies in places which we never even knew existed in our house...a sweeping hand here and one there she evaluates the state of the house all the while muttering with disdain about the pathetic condition...while therez a grim look in her eyes therez a horror-struck one in dad, bro and mine...the grim look is then replaced by a determined one and in  a resolute voice mum officially declares war and a vow to get the place spic and span no matter what it takes...Its at this point of time that dad clears his throat and mutters about some important work but well mumz a human lie detector..THATS a bad day..on worse days dad himself gets bitten by the dirt bug and joins mum in her mission to save the house..with the vacuum cleaner in his hand he swears his loyalty to the mission...on the worst days mum and dad rope bro and me and forcibly make us join the 'clean' gang....Jan 2 was the 1 of the worst days...

With a duster in her hand and dad ( vacuum cleaner in hand of course, thats his choice of weapon) as her right hand, mum started making strategies...she was the commander and we her soldiers...If USA followed half the strategies with the same diligence, Iraq and Afghanistan would have been in their pockets by now...Mum started off leaving dad to deal with us and assign us our posts, I got the easy task and was to clean out the clothes cupboard...This is the part I introduce you to one of the most well-used/exercised words in Indian history -DELEGATION. And who else can understand the term better than us Indians, more so my family.

See delegation in 'it-cannot-get-more-simple-than-this' language is the art by which a superior authority person shoves his work on people he has control over to save his ass from the line of fire. Its simple and effective and the best part is that you always have THE excuse that you're ahem 'supervising'. But in our family delegation doesn't really follow a hierarchy. What happened was, I was to clean the cupboard, take out the clothes, line the shelves with newspaper...So I take out the clothes and delegate the job of lining the shelves to dad...Dad lines them and in the process causes a havoc with the pile of newspapers stacked neatly in the store..Dad too tired with work delegates the job of re-arranging the stacks to bro who in turn asks for my help...Moral- you think you can get away but therez no escaping this vicious cycle of delegation....

But the best example of delegation is the one dad told me about - One of the district courts in Delhi is plagued with monkey menace...story goes that there are more monkeys in the area as compared to police pple...So the lawyers have hired a guy to get rid of the problem which supposedly is his area of expertise BUT guess what this guy has ..yes indeed delegated the task to none other than a langoor( in ape language a playground bully who monkeys are supposed to be terrified of) apparently and thats how life goes...I'm telling you we Indians have re-defined this terminology for sure...

P.S - I know writing about new year is waayy tooo late but well things didn't improve later on and net connection busted and oh still no sign of ESPN n Star Sports...with no net or sports channel situation became soo bad I had to scrounge in newspapers for football updates...cudn't watch Pool defeat Tottenham!! 1 good team pool managed to beat and I missed it....yaayy...

RIP Dimebag.....

Ok so this is not so much of a blog as a posting but know what blogs aren't necessarily random ramblings of whats wrong and whats not and what should be...jeez rambling again, by now its like a in-built 'My special' human tendency...superman can fly, spiderman can swing, hulk has super strength BUT moi has super rambling ability to bore the crap outa anyone.....by now if you've realised that I'm a SUPER cheat and don't really have anything to write about....BINGO, tell me where to send in the million dollar check....

Thing is bro had been hounding me to watch a Pantera video and stopped just short of bounding and gagging me to forcibly make me listen....I did a few days ago, 2 words - mind blowing...Couldn't help sharing so check it for yourself and let me know how you found it....
Word of advice - make sure your eyes are glued in when the guitarist Dime-bag Darrell goes crazy on the fretboard...coolness personified...btw The songz Domination..

The Art of Living...My way is the best way....

Its bloody irritating how things don't work out the way you planned them to right??? You've been looking forward to something and BAM it doesn't happen leaving you totally dejected and sometimes turns the atheist in you to believe that there must be someONE somewhere who hates you and wishes that you have all the horrible experiences in the world, while you're left wondering 'why does it always have to happen to me???'  That pretty much describes my tryst with CAT....For people not familiar with the rendezvous - in simple words, exam got canceled, get a msg that the new centerz about 30 kms from my place...from 5 km away to 30 km, yup that was my nightmare coming true...since I had chosen the morning shift at 10 and had to report by 8, it meant getting started at 5:30...trust me you wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere near me within 30 m radius then ... thankfully my aunt stays near the exam center ( 8km distance !!) so went to her place the day before itself.....

Surprisingly that was one of the best things that would've happened to me..for starters my bhaiya has one of the most amazing treasure-trove of books -LOTR, Harry Potter, Robin Cook, RD etc etc etc so had a blast reading them and then watched movies...which was why I was not a nervous wreck before the exam....And that is when the debate started inside my head - Do I really want everything according to the some stupid rule book that I've meticulously planned or did I want to flow along with my life and let it take any course that it wanted??? See for some people having a proper charted course gives them direction of what they want in life, how life should be handled, the way to success ...but did somebody or can somebody really define what success is???? or more importantly is success everything??? when you look back at life do you want to be able to say that 'yes I was successful' or 'bloody hell I enjoyed my life'???

Yesterday I was searching for a good book to settle down with and came across 'The seven habits of highly effective people' by Steven Covey....Before you jump to any conclusion, I was forced to buy the book...honestly I'm not a big fan of self-help books, infact I positively detest them...Don't even get me started on The Alchemist....but this book ( 7 habits) was actually part of our curriculum in 1 of the college semesters and I never got around to reading beyond the first habit...it could be because the book was sooo sleep-inducing but more than that what was written at the back -" Covey reveals a step-by-step pathway for living with fairness, integrity, honesty, and human dignity which are the fundamentals and key to success".... Ok so maybe Covey found his path to success but it doesn't mean that would have to be 'everybody's' path to success...
Life is something which should be enjoyed and discovered...should be the 'road not taken' because who knows that road or path which is rocky at first may turn out to be our path to success  happiness....
So yes I want to be successful but more than that I want to enjoy my life, experience the unexpected, look forward to the challenges and risk because in the end that's what makes life fun...it's either this or planned, risk incorporated monotonous life....I guess I can gladly say that 'problems rock'....

P.S - which is why have a 'lousy' Christmas and a 'crappy' New Year  ; )
P.P.S - Merry Christmas all the same!!!

The story of a pissed fan...

I guess it has become a force of habit by now...I watch a liverpool match, swear that I won't comment about it in the blog (more so if pool ahem loses), and that's exactly what I end up doing...So this time I thought why don't I share what goes on outside the the idiot box ie the minute -to-minute(well not exactly) real life reactions of a pissed liverpool fan...here goes:
6:10 - Switch to ESPN. Have my SNAP exam the next day but then apparently that is still not a good enough reason to miss the match..After all they show the match 'live' only once...
6:25 - rub my eyes and make sure that the match was the one between pool-pompey and not between bunch of 10 year olds
6:43 - wish had been sensible and skipped the match, pompey up by 1..
6:50 - dad comes, sees the score, then sees my face and starts laughing...Tells me its high time I should stop supporting pool and should join the Man U bandwagon...To think it would have to come down to THIS
7:30 - have a really bad taste in my mouth, aim a few well chosen curses at pool players , a lot more at pompey players ...dad thinks its a good opportunity to cash in and starts making fun of Torres- says pool doesn't pay him enough to get even a decent haircut, tell dad its called style instead receive a bewildered look...
7:33 - Really pissed !!!!! tell dad to watch whatever he wants....dad pleased, says pool should loose even more often so he gets to watch TV...give him the evil eye!!
7:45 - bro comes up hearing the final score and tells me to watch Utd match which would be loads more exciting...He had NO idea...
9:20 -  This time bro really pissed , using the same curses, tells dad to watch his news...dad happy to get the remote back...tells bro and me to switch to chelsea!! we nearly die of shock...

On top mum gave me the ultimatum yesterday to either clean up my room or consider being chucked out of the house....so there I was being bullied into tidying up my room against my wish, when I came across this Wren & Martin grammar book, flipped to the back page and this is what I saw :

Wish we had been taught alphabets this way...

Oh and I was going through a few GK questions yesterday for SNAP and found this : This band received a nomination in the heavy metal category for the Grammy Awards. They performed one of their hit numbers live at the show, but the award went to Jethro Tull. The band didn't seem to care, though; they added a sticker to their album reading "Grammy Award LOOSERS"....any guesses which band?????

A little bit of this and that....

This blog took a long time coming all thanks to people who decide exams datesheet and think that students need only 1 day to learn stuff which they can't even understand in 3 months time...geniuses!! well 3 papers are down and each 1z got a more tragic story than the previous...The 1st one only turned out to be a shocker, couldn't even comprehend from which chapters ware the questions forget about answering them!!Question papers setters sure are big sadists...well they'll have fun correcting my paper..goodluck to them trying to figure out what I've written...One important lesson I've learned is NOT to get the entire bundle photocopied...its not like I read the whole lot and the psychological effect 'oh I've still got so much left to do and going to flunk this time' has damn near given me a heart attack way too many times...

Anyway chuck studies and coming to another shocker was Liverpool vs Arsenal match last night...another loss wooohooo(thisz with all the sarcasm I can muster)...I seriously thought pool could win this time, anybody would seeing the 1st half, even bro said so and thats something, fuck arsenal to stike back...Arshavinz a good player but whats with the expressions??? Ref was blind- No penalty to gerrard, no free kick to kuyt...Torres was abso-damn-lutely amazing!! and Alonso was there!!!!!
talk about rubbing salt on the wounds...Am I the only 1 or the match gave a sense of deja-vu -pool awesome in the 1st half, take a lead, other team strikes back(except this time was an own goal), another goal in quick succession, pool try to desperately fight back, still lose in the end!!

Man U lost so the feelings nullified...sometimes I love that team(black tooth grin)..I considered Gary neville a decent player but that was before his 'Liverpool got what they deserved' comment...dude mind your own business!!.. Tottenham lost too and that to Wolves of all but the great newsz modricz BACK!! and who would've thought chelsea being held by everton...1 important conclusion I've reached watching chelsea matches are: Lampard wears a wig - no kidding why else would he ALWAYS touch his hair after every 5 secs specially after a long run after the ball, oh yeah to make sure his ahem 'hair' is still on!!

And the week of shocker was concluded yesterday when bro told me that Dave Grohl- the Nirvana drummer is the same guy whoz Foo-fighters lead singer...from a drummer to lead singer and guitarist??? I generally don't believe stuff bro tells me, he has a major tendency to feed me up on weird lies so that i end up making a complete fool out of myself- like once he told me JD inxs frontman is chris angel (the mindfreak guyz) brother, told people bout it and won the 'most gullible person' award...this time I googled it down and it's freakingly true!!!

P.S- is Nistelrooy really coming to liverpool??? and just who the hell is this 'shorty' person whose sooo famous and in-demand in almost ALL the RnB song???? has the world run out of names now??? so original!!!!

And Life goes on....

Hate my damn computer...it takes about 15 mins to get into operational mode by the time I'm too pissed off to get any concrete stuff done...Anyway my CATs on 29th and am so not freaked out about it...seriously how can you worry about something who's outcome is this predictable...I've as much chance of acing the test as Delhi govt. implementing the plastic ban...where the word 'acing' actually means getting a decent percentile so as not to be branded as a 'super-loser with IQ -10'....how the hell did i end up where i am right now???

Honestly i never thought getting into a fairly passable col would be this tough...I've been sitting down with books lately trying to remember what all went on in the classes but its like they're punishing me for not paying attention then..the only thing going in my mind was the geometry workshop....I love geometry but that was before attending the class..Geo basic class was good as I could understand what sir was talking about...Geo-2 was a nightmare!! 5 mins into the class the 4( 3 of my friends and me) of us were all role model students...45 mins later 1 of themz yawing away to glory and looking at the time every nanosecond, 1z making fun of a guy sitting in front of her, shalini and me were giving awestruck glances to a prospective CAT cracker girl...with 30 mins to go, we weren't even pretending to listen and were happily discussing the pros-cons of legalising marijuana(life saver)...See sometimes predicting the future can be quite easy!!

Then there was this time when we had to write in a form why the hell do we want to join the particular col and boy were we stumped...in fact we defined the term huhh??? that time...See for most people that would be kinda a dumb question to ask but then since when were we traditionalists?? Every kid has an idea what he/she wants to be...Till 8th I wanted to be a CA having never studied accounts obviously (pipe dreams)...By 10th I wanted to do something for the society and hence environmentalist or work for animals but they're not even considered as jobs in our country!! I didn't want to take up science coz to be honest slogging is not my forte...took up commerce and before I knew it I was in the rat race(hmmm where did the term came up anyway???) for MBA...

Humans have a tendency to put blame on something when things don't go according to what they expected and - my punch bag happens to be society...come on see for yourself, You want to do something that you enjoy but it's apparently not in accordance with 'the society', commerce and science are considered worthwhile streams while people from humanities background are looked down upon...ohh and btw you're not really something if you've not qualified IIT or IIM... Basically its not you who decide what you want to be in life, unfortunately the society does it for you.. Whose successful and whose not, yep decided by society again...thing is no matter how much you try to squash these social practices, they come back and hit you right in the face..which is why all of us are exactly similar save for some minor deflections..No individuality.. and in this quest to be be different we tend to ape the western culture and fall in the category of wannabe's...and people who are creative and manage to find their own personality are called too fast or too modern or anti-society...And the whole recent going on that people of today can follow their own dreams is completely bullshit...either its a CA, MBA, Engineer, Doctor...and even if 1 out of 100 kids becomes what he/she wants, its not something to be proud of...And people ask whats in Other countries that India lacks...umm nothing much except a chance to be who you really are...

Metallica vs Megadeth

I would've loved commenting on the Liverpool-Man C match except therez nothing to comment about aside for the fact that pool won - where winners were decided not on the basis of goals scored but rather no. of injuries , which would make pool winning for a long time now ( thank you Benayoun!! )....Anyway thank God for vh1...nah the producers of the channel more likely ....I switched on the channel at 8 last night to find Metallica concert going on in none other than Germany ( that story will have to be another blog)...btw the showz called Gods of Guitar its showing all the amazing rock bands ever started with Led Zep so get the drift....followed by Roadhouse blues -The doors, Back in Black -AC/DC ( Angus Young looked a lot like Merry in the video!!!), Smells like teen spirit ( bloody hell Cobainz a genius, he was tuning his guitar AND playing at the same time...how the hell ) and then a song by white stripes ( ring any bells shalini??) and then Lenny Kravitz ( love the guy as much as his dressing style yeowww)....I swear by the end of the programme I was music high...music is kinda a drug , you get a lil feel of it, it goes straight to your head, controlling you, making you want more which is why I found myself checking youtube at 1 at night for more metallica videos ( another reason to be thankful )....

CAUTION: If you're a Megadeth fan, for health reasons it's best you skip the blog, Metallica fans, trust me your going to enjoy this....

So I was surfing youtube all the while waiting for a video to buffer(arghhh) while I read some comments stupid losers had made about how Dave Mustain can beat the crap outa James hettfield and how Metallica sux ( ya right) without mustain???? For people with non-music background mustain was a part of metallica in the beginning but they chucked him out coz of his psycho ways and excessive substance abuse....how crazy would you have to be to put vodka in Cliff's (metallica bassist- died in a freak mishap, considered 1 of the best bassist in the worlds) guitar and duhhh the guy got electrocuted...talk about sabotaging your own band members...shit....so they parted ways in not so amicable manner (woke him in the morning and gave him return tickets...poww)....

Do not get why Megadeth fans waste their energy posting such stuff when they know megadeth can never reach level-metallica...And well mustain was bound to get pissed but 20 years later when he has a successful band, he still goes on cribbing bout it like a 7 yr old kid, its just laughable....he goes on like ' I'm so glad i left(lol) metallica coz its got no talent' but dude if you still have time to ponder over it, it just shows you're missing it....High time you got over it!!!  The guyz a pretty good lyricist and to be honest megadethz songs are amazing but then no comparison to jameza!! Oh yeah and the constant tirade of they stole my songs is getting pretty lame-o too ....new word for him dignity!! and the reason megadeth got created was that mustain wanted to prove that he could form a better band than metallica hence - Megadeth....

Check out this video of mustain ...
FYI whatever dave said is totally bullshit...kirk wasn't even IN the band so no chance of anything of that sort happening!!!!
and then metallica retaliating....

Holier than thou...you are...naught!!

Correct me if I am wrong but the last time I checked my history book, India was still a democracy and not an autocracy or worse still ochlocracy... so why the hell is Thackery and co. deluded into thinking that they can control our lives..just shows what misconception can lead you into thinking and in their case doing...What's more these 'modern knight templar's ' feel they are doing the country a good turn and ridding it from the so called evil...don't get me wrong but I think highly about the knight templar's , here the comparison is only restricted to protecting concept...anyway am I the only who's seeing India walk a certain path, walked not long ago by Pakistan or Afganistan...

Thankfully there are still sane people alive in this country whose voices are till now drowning the violent actions of the MNS mob...Kudos to Abu Azmi for not giving in to these thugs unlike Amitabh Bachan who publicly apologised  for not talking in Marathi...The Marathi people aren't complaining so what exactly is Raj Thackery so gung-ho about??? It is so corny that he's propagating Marathi language but when it comes down to making pamphlets for party votes, their printed in English!!! Votes count huh?? I swear everytime 1 of their clan members makes a speech all I can hear is blah blah blah and that makes a lot more sense than his entire speech put together...

I knew politicians go an extra mile to fill up their votes banks but to actually promote regional language over national 1...is this the only issue left worth addressing?? what about the poverty, illiteracy thats plaguing our country...no way thats new terminologies for you guys right?? Telling Sachin to mind his business, senior Thackery made a big mistake messing with the poster boy of Maharashtra, and I guess Right To speak isn't 1 of our fundamental rights anymore??? Suspending MNS workers is a step forward but it's punishing the people as well whose constituencies they were to manage...why let the people suffer for some1 elsez mistakes...We need to take stringent action against such 'harvesters of instability'...make sure that the 1 step forward doesn't become 2 steps backward....

El stupido...

Haven't there been times when people ask you the most ridiculous-est of the questions and you're left wondering - could any one be seriously this daft or is the guy genetically pea-brained??? I guess that just sums up my last week...I came across the most profoundly dumb questions that had me rolling on the floor...

So here are a few of them with a well chosen sarcasm dripping retorts...
1. Okay you're in the bathroom and some1 knocks on the door asking if YOU'RE in there...
Retort - jeez NO way , What business could some1 possibly have in a bathroom...I just like going in there so that I can get out through a secret passage and watch your futile attempts to talk to a non-existent person..

2. When you come home and therez a question waiting "You're home" ranging from mild surprise to extreme shock...
Retort - And to think I had NO idea about it...or if my mere presence freaks you out so much I think I'll just chuck myself out again...at least it would save me the whole to-n-fro traveling part ..

3. You reach the destination after a long travel and some1 tells you "chalo uttaro"(get down)..
Retort - No I think I'll just stay in the damn car and check out the surroundings and the car interiors a bit longer coz 45 mins in the stuffy car sure weren't enough ...

4. I don't how many of you've been through this but sometimes parents while going out feel the urge to remind you to "Not to open the doors to strangers"..
Retort - Damn!! Does that mean I'll have to cancel the late night party I had on for tonight with the neighborhood freakazoids alias starangers ??? Too bad..

5. The then of course The famous " Did you study while we're gone??"
Retort - Trust me after the initial moments of suppressed laughter  and controlling of evil smiles, the best answer would be - had a jam-packed schedule of watching football, listening to music and reading novels, couldn't fit the studies anywhere...parents ..sigh constant source of amusement!!

Further contributions will be highly entertained....who doesn't need a good laugh!!

P.S -this isn't in keeping with the blog but people on FB who're in2 piratey stuff, try clicking on the US/UK logo on the bottom left corner of the page and click on English(pirate) head...its super cool trust me!!

Liverpool vs Birmingham

I seriously don't get it why liverpoolz matches must be kept so late at night??? Don't the EPL organizers realise that they're crazy fans who'd be thrown outa their houses for keeping up their constant stream of shouts in the dead of the night???

Anyway...bottomline atfer watching the match - LIVERPOOL ROXxxx..the end, goodbye....I know it was a draw and twas only against Birmingham but what the hell, it was sooo amazing...Liverpool were on the ball the whole damn time, I swear the possession must have read 80-20 in the end...I turned on the TV at 15 mins and Ngog scored right at that moment!!! And  for people who say that Jonson wasn't worth the money, pc of advice- go soak your head in water, the guy was playing as if he could see where the players were going to be 10 secs later n passed the ball exactly there...And the passing was unbelievable...Unfortunately Benitez scored (Therez no dearth of assholes in the world )..

And poor Reira got injured again BUT who should come instead Gerrard...wooohooo!!!...Jerome struck a stunner then, twas a pretty awesome shot to be fair ( mouth open in silent horror)...the best part was the penalty..hehehe, I know pool didn't really deserve it but SO WHAT!! Benayoun went totally berseck, pumping his fists..lml...Love Mascherano, seriously hez the EPL Gattuso I swear..always on the warpath!!

Aquilani also came on!! The only question going through my mind was how come pool hadn't scored 3-4 goals by now, they had soo many chances, they were doing everything right but sadly luck was eluding them!!there were soo many blocked attempts and successes also, it seemed Birmingham players were freakishly growing 2-3 pairs of extra legs and heads!!
but then always proud to be a RED!!!

Weekend Time-pass

I skipped college today so that I can lay the groundwork on my upcoming exams, which explains the reason why am blogging right now ( I am 1 idle student not ideal student).....

Saturday : Day started with Halloween party at my friend shilpiz place ( I know a lil late coming but crazy pple like us don't really need a date or time for it )..Had an awesome time dressing up as kick-ass monsters...me and shalini were Joker ( the Dark Knight type n not red tomato nosed 1z )....came back...fell asleep...got up and took out my books when I heard THE riff of  Where Ever I May Roam playing..ok story- therez this cool guy who lives below my place who keeps practicing on his electric guitar kinda rubbing in my face like " I can sooo play a guitar and u can't" sorta thing...And since I had nothing better to do there I was lying on the floor with  my ear glued to the surface so that I cud hear properly ( I never said I'm a sane freak).. Later on he starts on Sweet child Of Mine and if that wasn't enough the bass part of For Whom the Bell Tolls starts!!!...Thought bout gate-crashing their jamming session but figured out being buried alive by mom, I wouldn't be able to watch Liverpoolz match on monday...chucked the books and went to watch football...
Sunday : Got up late..had to go to my niece's 1st birthday party...reached there...I swear it's at places like these where you can see kids at their craziest best...shouting n screaming n howling...they sure know how to get on your nerves!! But finally I was in a place where most population was shorter than me!!( you can laugh all you want shalini) ...In my self-defense I'm not that short, am just not THAT tall...came back on time to watch ManU-Chelsea match ( not surprising since bro n me bugged our parents constantly reminding them bout the match )...and it was sooo worth it Chelsea won or better still Man U lost!!!...

Political Mess!!!!

Confessions of a geeky mind - I love reading newspapers...therez something about  laying your hands on the morning paper and finding out 'What's up with the world today' ...It's not that I diligently read the entire paper and memorise all the articles..but a scan through's definitely must ( starting with the sports page of course )...

So day before yesterday I opened the paper and the first thing I read was about the Madhu Koda scam...How the hell could a CM amass bloody 4000 cr rupees in such a short time( imagine 10% of it being spent on education or health, where that would lead us)...and the guy actually had the audacity to tell the SC to prove their case...which when they did, it had Mr. Koda retiring to a hospital faking an illness....At least dude show some originality..I mean we've seen waaay to many politicians go through the same route.

Eyes wandered down....Naxal hold 2 more people hostage....I guess the conversation btw Chiddu and his secretary went like this:
Secretary: Sir, Naxals have got hold of 2 more villager.
Chiddu: What only 2...These Naxals are loosing their touch. At least they didn't manage 2 capture another train....We score!!!
Secretary: So we do what we've been doing for the past year.
Chiddu: Sit back and watch of course...Rule No1 we only come to the rescue when crisis comes right on top of our heads...If we do something now people will start expecting too much from us..Now is my suit ironed for evening party??? THAT'S important !!

Page 16 : China Officials express displeasure at  a VIP person going to Arunachal Pradesh...Feel India's escalating tensions btw the 2 countries....Love China's guts for telling India who goes where and when in it's own country...India's reply -"  ___________________________    ". ( betcha they're still thinking about a retort )

Page 15: Pakistan feels India has a hand in Baluchistan. Mr. Zardari, rest assured, India's having a tough time looking after its internal situations, forget the externals one's .

Page 2: CommonWealthConstruction not even halfway there, blame game begins. And the best part -Australia who're holding CWG after India are willing to allow CWG2010 take place there if India's not ready till 2010, China also offers help!!!
what I see - Indian pride going down the drain.( Don't get me wrong I'm not Nationalistic sentimental fool, a Gandhian product, But I am just 1 of the million  Indians who feels India needs to take the reins in hand starting NOW and politicians need to stop speaking profound shit and get the hell working ).

Time Travel - part 1 My First rock concert

Well actually it's my first and only rock concert...i can almost hear your pitiful sighs...but hey at least I got the ball rolling ( ya this is how I try 2 console myself..lame-o)...so yesterday night I was trying to put some heavy stuff through my head ( what else but course material )...fortunately to no avail ( I'm a staunch believer in the theory " the less you have in your mind at this point of time, more space will be available to put knowledgeable stuff  into when needed-like near exam time" ). And the Metallica song stuck in my head was certainly not helping. You know how things are, 1 thought leads to another and there I was suddenly reminiscing about my first rock concert, band being Parikrama.
It satrted as an ordinary extra-ordinary day. I was like 3 yr old kid given a new yummy candy ...like diligent students me and my friends attended the col lectures ( woes of attendance pple but like always didn't hear a single word)...Later on we started off ...There was this big confusion about whether special passes were required to gain entrance..We didn't have them but as if that could stop us..I swear we must have thought about a zillion ways how we would have to enter in case they didn't let us including scaling the wall ( thorough planning- all the qualities of a future manager..I shud write it in my resume)...Fortunately nothing of that sort happened and we entered in a pretty dignified manner...

1 hour later Parikrama was THERE...the crowd was soooo damn jagged up that everybody went crazy while they were tuning their equipment...this must give a fair idea about the later part...trust me when they actually began playing we literally head-banging our necks off....head-banging, head-rolling we did it all...not to mention had huge pain in our necks the other day...but it was sooooo worth it!!!!

Next stop Metallica !!!!

Seeing Red......

3 words- WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Liverpoolz match going on against Fulham and I can honestly say I've never seen a match before that's made me this pissed.. cannot even bear to watch it...Since kicking the refs ass is not an option with me, here I am venting out my anger. And it's definitely not helping hearing bro'z evil laughter echoing all the way upstairs along with the boisterous singing of Fulham fans....arghhhh!!!!

Okay..Has Benetez LOST it...why in the name of satan is he substituting Benayoun who's got the best  record against bloody Fulham...and Kuyt for Ayala...seriously WHAT is going on in his head coz it couldn't be football strategies for a 2 year kid would've done better... Great Fulham's scored another 1....This makes my day whole lot better...

And I'm sure somebody's going to do my job and kill the psycho, demented ref in his bed tonight ( check out the paper tomorrow for the good news) .....red card for Degen????? Yellow card would've been enough you know. And as if that wasn't it, Carragher too??? I know Cara's foul was awful and red card was kinda fair...but you know I DON"T wanna be fair, I just want Liverpool to win...is that asking too much???

3-1 it is...final score....wooohooo...I think I'l just go and bury myself alive....And if Utd wins, I'm gonna go on a major killing spree...
